In this time of division, our hearts long for connection. This daylong retreat is an invitation to tend to that longing—to care for our bodies and distressed nervous systems through embodying the qualities of kindness and compassion. Together, we will experience the profound settling and uplift available when we tend to our emotional bodies within saṅgha, or community.
This retreat integrates Dharma teachings, meditation, somatic movement, and yoga asana. Our movement practices will offer floor-based unwinding to release tension and fatigue, flowing into accessible yoga sequences. Drawing from personal stories and classical Buddhist teachings, we’ll explore how the heart qualities—the brahmavihāras—can be cultivated through the body, offering a foundation for appropriate response to our times.
All abilities and levels of experience are welcome.
